Handle It

Each painting within this quadtriptych garners its individuality through the use of colour.  Swathes of light and the use of both strong lines and curves pull the four together and ensure cohesion.  Conscious layering adds depth to each painting along with both saturated and muted colour application.  With this series, it’s easy to become submerged in the wonder created by intentional colour choice and rich, complex layering.

‘Handle It’ has earthy tones as it’s foundations …. with teal and pale yellow.  The introduction of flowers suggestive of the relationship to the earth.
