Depth of Love

This art piece began after a phone call with my dad . We talked about his favourite colours. “Navy blue” he said to me, so this is what influenced this painting from the get go.

As I journeyed with the work, an aquatic feeling came over the piece and I began to think of the depth of love that we are able to express. At times our expressions can be open, other times quiet and filled with details only evident when you look in closely and take real notice. Sometimes it is calm and other times energetic. All this is abstracted and depicted in this landscape.
