Eucalyptus Patchwork
Eucalyptus Patchwork
The subtle, almost human form with arms up stretched is symbolic of the interconnected relationship between mankind and nature. The existence of both are dependant on each other. The symbolism of my painting is depicted, in part, by the carefully selected colour palette.
The black represents coal, created by compressed organic matter, along with hinting at shadows of the past whilst lighter aspects represent the brightness of the future and the present day. Tones of yellow are reminiscent of the foundation on which much bushland springs forth. Filtering through the bush, hints of blue talk to the sky and symbolise the proximity to water.
