Eucalyptus Ocean

Striking shades of blue served up on a natural palette base are given meaning and purpose with guiding lines in black and white.  The eye is drawn to the clusters of fully delicate pale pink and then tempted away with the lightness provided by gentle speckles and carefully crafted strokes of platinum and subtle splashes or orange.  The nest-like threads on the eucalyptus tree trunks are a nod to my South African heritage and are symbolic of the weaver birds’ nests which are suspended over water from the branches of willow trees in Johannesburg.
